How to increase battery lifetime?
  • General recommendations concerning battery use:

    ·         Always store in a cool, dry place;

    ·         Do not leave unused for long periods of time;

    ·         Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity ;

    ·         It is recommended to fully charge batteries upon purchase, after use and before a long period of storage

      Depending on the battery type (lead, nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion), the following recommendations apply:

    ·         Lead batteries should be charged at least once every 4 weeks: continuous charging is strongly recommended, since these chargers and batteries were designed accordingly.

    ·         Nickel-cadmium batteries must be fully charged each time to ensure maximum lifetime, mainly for the first charges.

    ·         For optimum operation, lithium-ion batteries require an ambient temperature of at least 10°C

    ·         When Lithium-ion batteries are fully charged, switch off the charger and remove the battery

What should I do with my spent batteries?
Spent batteries can be disposed of in the collection bins provided at your retailer or at your rubbish tip. Remember that it is dangerous to throw batteries, even spent, on the fire. In compliance with European law, Ryobi helps preserve the environment, in collaboration with Screlec, a company specialised in the collection and recycling of spent batteries and accumulators. Please help us continue this effort by not disposing of your batteries with household waste..
Can I use my sander on plaster?
Plaster is a material with fine highly aggressive dust which quickly clogs up the motor of even the most carefully designed tools. You are strongly recommended not to sand plaster, unless otherwise indicated in the owner's operating manual. This would considerably reduce the lifetime of your tool, and invalidate the warranty.
When should I replace the grease on my rotary hammer?
The grease on your rotary hammer must be checked and the seals changed every 150 hours of use. These operations must be carried out by an approved repairer who will check the condition of the brushes at the same time and service the pneumatic part. Please respect the instructions in the owner's operating manual.
